Facts about the market
The digital health sector in Romania is not as developed as in other countries. There is a limited communication between health information system players, and there is no interoperability of existing data bases. Patients are having a hard time accessing various health information online, and the legal and regulatory framework is not completely adjusted to the digital environment.
Improved conditions in the health care sector is a main priority for the government in the coming years, and the government will allocate national funds for this purpose. Furthermore, as much as 6 billion EUR are expected to be allocated from EU’s Resilience and Recovery Fund for the health sector. This poses an interesting market for Danish companies within the health sector.
