ESG risks and conflict minerals” and “Russian Sanctions

The Confederation of Danish Industry (DI), in collaboration with The Risk Advisory Group, invite you to a two-part seminar providing insights on managing ESG and sanctions risks.

During the first session ‘ESG risks of purchasing conflict minerals from Africa’, Hannah Gilkes, head of ESG at Risk Advisory, and Laura Cabeca, deputy head of Africa, will examine the complex web of ESG challenges related to buying precious metals and minerals. They will discuss best practices and share useful case studies for investors.

In the second session ‘Russian sanctions evasion and circumvention: investigative insights’, Risk Advisory’s head of Asia, Andras Szirko, will discuss the evolution of Russian trade and financial sanctions regimes since February 2022, real-life examples from Risk Advisory’s work on detecting circumvention and evasion attempts, and insights into common red flags that can inform the design of robust compliance programmes that mitigate sanctions risk.
