Roundtable: Unlocking Nordic Leadership in a Changing World

The Nordic economies consistently rank among the world's most competitive. Yet growth is slowing, investment is under pressure, and global competitors are moving faster. As Europe searches for new sources of competitiveness, the Nordic region has a unique opportunity to lead.

With world-leading companies, strong research environments, trusted institutions and a long tradition of innovation, the Nordics have many of the ingredients needed to succeed in an uncertain geopolitical world. The question is not whether the region has potential, but how that potential can be translated into stronger growth, greater investment and global leadership in the industries and technologies of the future.

On 1 October, the Nordic Council of Ministers are meeting in Copenhagen precisely to discuss Nordic competitiveness. Against this backdrop, DI, Nordic Compass and Nordea are pleased to invite you to an exclusive, closed-door CEO roundtable on Nordic competitiveness, bringing together The Danish Minister for Business and Competitiveness and a small group of Chairs and CEOs from leading Nordic business and financial institutions to discuss how the region can strengthen its position as Europe's most dynamic hub for innovation, investment and sustainable growth.

The discussion will focus on what it will take for the Nordics to unlock the next wave of growth: integrating the Nordic markets, mobilising more capital for innovation and scaling, and strengthening Nordic leadership in strategic technologies, research and innovation. How can new Business alliances help turn ideas and opportunities into tangible action?

The roundtable will take place at Industriens Hus, H.C. Andersens Boulevard 18, Copenhagen, on Thursday, 1 October 2026, from 08:00 to 09:30.
