ESG Masterclass - session 4

A deep dive into the G in ESG – Governance. Sustainable Corporate Governance – Corporate leadership driving the sustainable transformation.

In the fourth session of the ESG masterclass, we will elaborate on the definition and elements of effective and sustainable corporate governance as one of the keys to build a resilient organization, increase competitiveness and attract investment.
What does this mean for corporate executives and board members, now and in the future? It requires that management has a thorough understanding of the current governance framework and practices, the developments in global, regional and local regulations, stakeholder expectations – and how management must prepare to tackle future developments.

You will leave the session with a clearer understanding of:

  • The changing expectations of sustainable leadership facing businesses and their boards
  • Insights, trends and regulatory updates on sustainable corporate governance
  • The growing responsibilities of the audit committee related to ESG risks and reporting
  • The broadening skillsets required of internal and external auditors
  • How companies are integrating ESG performance elements in executive remuneration, especially climate and diversity
  • How to design effective governance of ESG data and performance management across the organization.

As with all the masterclass sessions, the event will be in a workshop format with inspirational talks from the invited experts, facilitated group discussions, and plenty of time for Q&A.

Presentations will be in English. Group discussion will be in either English or Danish based on participants’ language preferences.

Who is it for?

This masterclass is for finance, compliance, and CSR/Sustainability professionals from companies that are already required to report or that will be required to report in the coming years i.e., companies with more than 250, regardless of ownership structure.

Some familiarity with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and the EU Taxonomy is expected, since only high-level summaries of these legislative frameworks will be provided.
This masterclass offers an opportunity for knowledge-sharing and networking with colleagues outside your organization as well as for listening to presentations and Q&A sessions from leading experts in the area.
