Indian Water Week 2024

Danish Industry, Danish Water Industries and The Royal Danish Embassy invite you to take part in a delegation during the India Water Week Event in New Delhi, combined with visits to Jaipur (Rajastan) and Chennai (Tamil Nadu)

Minister for Business Industry and Financial Affairs, Morten Bødskov yesterday announced, that he is looking forward to leading the Danish delegation to Indian Water Week 2024.

Don’t hesitate to sign up and please do so before Friday 23 August.

The ministers presence will add significantly to the possibilities for Denmark in general and for the participating companies specifically to get attention and promote solutions.

The minster will give a speak at the Inauguration of the Water Week. He will open the Danish Country Session at the Water Week and together with the Danish Ambassador, the minister will host a lunch roundtable at the Danish residence for the participating Danish companies.

I light of the newly held election in India and changes in core ministries including Jal Shakti the visit and participation of the minster is very good timing to present core Danish interest and solutions toward our Indian stakeholders.

New Delhi Indian Water Week

Participate in opening this major event and enjoy a day with business roundtables and meetings with Indian authorities and utilities.

As Denmark takes the spotlight as partner country, our delegation will host a country session focusing on water supply and waste management.  This gives your company the opportunity to present your solutions and cases to high-level government officials from various participating Indian states.

This will be followed by a visit to India’s largest sewage treatment plant, Coronation Pillar STP, showcasing biogas production through sewage and sludge treatment using Danish technology.

This visit, provides excellent opportunities to deepen collaboration on wastewater, sewerage sludge treatment. and energy production.

Rajasthan/ Jaipur:

Focus will be on the successful partnerships established since 2016 between Aarhus, Udaipur and now expanded the state of Rajasthan. It will include:

  • Field visits to gain insights into ongoing collaborations and high-level engagements
  • Discussions to explore synergies with the Aarhus-Rajasthan strategic sector cooperation, with a specific focus on non-revenue water reduction, sustainable water management, wastewater resource recovery, and urban water management strategies as well as energy production (biogas).

Chennai, Tamil Nadu:

Chennai serves as another pivotal point for Danish water efforts in India. The Chennai visit will concentrate on:

  • Collaborative opportunities under the ongoing Strategic Sector Cooperation in Tamil Nadu, focusing on water-related activities and sustainable technologies including biogas.
  • Discuss implementation challenges and the role of Danish solutions at a pumping station or wastewater treatment plant.
  • Technical workshop with key government officials

Roundtable discussion on addressing water sector challenges in Tamil Nadu through collaborative solutions.
