The Market

The Philippines is rapidly emerging as one of Southeast Asia’s most promising growth markets for wind power and energy storage. Strong political commitment, ambitious climate targets, and major regulatory reforms—such as lifting foreign ownership restrictions—are attracting large-scale international investment and fostering long-term partnerships.

With a national target of 50% renewable energy by 2040, transparent procurement via the Green Energy Auction Program (GEAP), and substantial investments in grid modernization and battery storage, the country is actively seeking advanced technology, engineering expertise, and reliable suppliers.

The market outlook is highly attractive. BloombergNEF’s 2024 Climatescope report ranks the Philippines as the second most attractive renewable energy investment destination globally, while Wood Mackenzie estimates up to 7 GW of onshore and offshore wind capacity by 2035. This creates concrete opportunities across project development, components, digital solutions, O&M, and storage integration.

Recent market developments further underline this momentum. In November 2025, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) announced a USD 3 billion offshore wind investment in the Philippines—one of the largest commitments in the region. This signals growing demand—not just for OEMs, but for the entire Danish and international supply chain.

Why Join? By joining the delegation, Danish companies will gain:
