DANISH FOOD, INGREDIENTS & TECHNOLOGY B2B DELEGATION TO CANADA

Explore new market opportunities i North America and join the food industry Danish Business Delegation to Canada.

The Canadian food industry is looking for new, reliable partners who can deliver quality, stability, and efficiency. By joining this delegation, you will be connected directly with Canadian decision-makers from producers to major buyers. Danish Industry, The Danish Embassy in Washington D.C. and the Danish Consulate General in Toronto have partnered with key stakeholders to ensure meaningful meetings that lead to real business opportunities and long-term partnerships, not just networking.

Why Join?

Canada is a very attractive market for food, ingredients, and food technology. With a population of 38 million consumers, a strong reliance on imported food and equipment, and a growing demand for European quality products, the opportunities for Danish companies are significant. Over 70% of Canada’s food supply is imported, and the country ranks among the top 10 global importers of food processing equipment. This means Canadian buyers are actively seeking reliable suppliers who can deliver tangible value without unnecessary complexity.

Toronto is Canada’s economic hub and home to the country’s largest food companies, retail chains, and food service operators. It is the natural starting point for meeting the decision-makers who shape the national market. Both Denmark and Canada have a clear interest in diversifying trade partnerships, and this mission is designed to create concrete business opportunities through targeted B2B meetings and visits to key players in retail, food service, and industry.

Who Should Join?

This mission is relevant for Danish companies working with:

  • Food production: Dairy, meat, seafood, plant-based, ready meals, organic and premium products.
  • Ingredients: Natural, functional, and sustainable ingredients, additives, and specialty solutions.
  • Food equipment: Processing, packaging, automation, cold chain, traceability, and quality control.
  • Food trading: Traders who can provide stable, global supply chains to Canadian customers.
