Program highlights & categories

The delegation program will combine strategic briefings, high-level stakeholder meetings, and networking opportunities, offering participants a comprehensive perspective on the evolving U.S. life science landscape:

Strategic Insights from the Danish Embassy & Constitution Day

The program will open with in-depth briefings from the Embassy’s health and commercial teams, providing an overview of current political priorities, regulatory developments, and market dynamics shaping the U.S. healthcare sector.

On June 4th, the delegation will be able to take part at the Embassy’s annual Constitution Day Celebration.  Constitution Day is the largest annual event hosted by the Embassy, serving as a key gathering point for a wide cross-section of Washington’s decision-making community. This year, the occasion will carry even greater visibility as the United States marks its 250th anniversary, which is expected to elevate both interest and attendance. Last year, more than 700 guests participated, and we anticipate an even larger turnout this year.

The reception traditionally attracts senior representatives from Congress, federal agencies, think tanks, patient organizations, and other influential stakeholders. Bringing a delegation offers DI a highly effective platform for engagement at scale. The guest list can also be curated in collaboration with the companies represented in the delegation to align with strategic priorities, enabling participating companies to invite selected counterparts and maximize the value of their presence.

Engagement with U.S. Authorities and Policymakers

The delegation aims to include meetings with key federal institutions such as the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), as well as representatives from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

These sessions will provide insight into trade policy, regulatory priorities, reimbursement frameworks, and the broader economic agenda influencing the life science sector.

Policy Perspectives and Strategic Analysis

Leading Washington-based think tanks and policy experts will share their perspectives on the direction of U.S. healthcare reform, political dynamics, and the implications for international life science companies. Particular emphasis will be placed on engaging Republican-leaning policy institutions to gain deeper insight into the administration’s priorities and evolving policy agenda.

This component is designed to provide forward-looking analysis and strategic context beyond day-to-day regulatory developments.

Dialogue with Industry Associations

The program also aims to include meetings with major U.S. industry organizations such as Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) and Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed).

These discussions will provide insight into industry priorities, advocacy efforts, and areas of alignment and collaboration within the U.S. market.

Legal and Regulatory Outlook

Finally, participants will receive perspectives from a leading U.S. law firm on the regulatory and compliance landscape, including emerging legal considerations relevant to life science companies operating in or engaging with the United States.
