SEMINAR: Expanding your business to the United States

Achieving success in the United States can be challenging for Danish companies. This seminar provides an in-depth insight into trade policy and several legal requirements related to expansion to the U.S.

The U.S. market is difficult to ignore. However, success in the U.S. has imposed significant challenges for Danish companies because of the differences in business infrastructure, culture, and legal system. This seminar provides an in-depth insight into trade policy and implications for doing business in the U.S. as well as several legal requirements related to different stages of expansion to the United States.

Confederation of Danish Industry in partnership with Thomas Martin Law Firm invites DI members and members of AmCham (The American Chamber of Commerce in Denmark) to a seminar on these business laws and the way to increased success on the U.S. market.

There is no substitute for good, legal counsel
The significant differences in the legal systems and institutional framework have several implications. In general, exporting to the U.S. means that you will have to become familiar with a new set of business laws. The purpose of this seminar is to give your company an overview of these legal requirements, but also to indicate that expanding your business to the U.S. does not have to be complex and expensive.

Thomas Martin Law Firm is the only law firm in the United States owned by attorneys authorized to practice law in the United States and in Denmark, and who practices law in both countries. They have assisted Danish businesses in the United States for many years and have a unique understanding of and experience with the issues that Danish businesses are facing in the U.S.

Due to an increasing amount of inquiries about the U.S. market and in the effort to satisfy our member’s needs, this seminar will cover the following topics:

  • Business formation
  • Corporate structuring
  • Immigration
  • Tax
  • Insurance
  • Employment

Why attend?
If your company has an interest in the above, this seminar is a unique opportunity for you to gain legal clarity on the possibilities of expanding your business to the United States – and thereby improving your chances of succeeding in the U.S. The seminar is relevant for a wide range of Danish businesses from many different sectors and enables companies to ask specific questions relevant for their business.
