The Danish Trade Council and Dansk Industri invite you to join a targeted business delegation to Colombia and Brazil, two of Latin America’s most promising offshore wind markets. Through site visits, business meetings, and technical discussions you will gain direct market insights, meet top local developers and policymakers, and identify opportunities across the full offshore wind value chain. The programme is built around the Brazil Windpower fair, where a joint Danish booth will be organized. Participation in the Brazil Windpower fair is not included in this delegation.  You may join the entire delegation or only one of the destinations.

Why Colombia?

Colombia is advancing rapidly towards a green transition and aims for net-zero emissions by 2050. The successful 2025 offshore wind tender - won by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (425 MW) - marks a milestone, and more auctions are on the horizon.

With political stability, rising energy demand, and vast untapped wind and solar resources, Colombia is proving itself as a promising market for offshore wind.

Why Brazil?

Following the 2025 Offshore Wind Law, Brazil is set to award its first offshore wind contracts in 2026. Over 134 GW of power is in licensing across 59 projects, notably in the Northeast and Southeast. Brazil is currently seeking to position itself as a digital leader. Thus the country is undergoing a major expansion in data centre development, a move expected to be a game-changer in driving future demand for offshore wind power.

Denmark and Brazil are strategic partners on wind policy, and Brazil’s unique conditions - long coastline, strong wind regimes, and market readiness - offer substantial potential for Danish companies.
