Danish Business Participation at COP25

COP25 - COP of implementation and business solutions 

COP25 has the headline “Time for Action”. Due to the political circumstances in Chile, the COP25 will be hosted in Madrid with Chile holding the COP presidency. Many of the same activities will be held in Madrid, and the below is the key information:

• AUDIENCE: The event is expected to have 25,000 participants daily from close to 200 countries
• VENUE: The UN Climate Change Conference will take place at IFEMA - Feria de Madrid in Madrid, Spain from 2 to 13 December. The COP area will consist of two zones 1) A blue zone for conferences and negotiations of official delegates of the participating nations, and 2) A green zone for the public with 3,000 square meters for events and parallel activities and events for governmental organizations, businesses and NGOs 
• DANISH ACTIVITIES: Due to the time constraints, there will not be a Danish shared pavilion at this year’s COP. The Danish shared activities will instead consist of 2 days of side events to be held in the Green Zone venue (tbc), next to the Blue Zone area.

Danish Participation 

State of Green, DI and the Danish Embassy are planning to arrange 2 days of side events focusing on Danish green solutions and how to ensure public and private action towards 2030 and 2050. The side events are to be hosted on December 11 and 12^th at IFEMA. The audience in the green zone will comprise both the general public, professional and specialized participants as well as participants from the Blue Zone area.

Why participate? 

Participating companies can contribute to the important agenda of showcasing the private sector contribution to climate action, which is also a key theme at this year’s COP. Furthermore, being hosted in Madrid, the audience will also consist of a large representation from the Spanish and Southern European markets, which could be relevant for some participating companies. Furthermore, the side events will contribute to the Danish footprint at the COP25 and include both public, private and organizational high-level participants.

• Participation in the 2-day program
• Briefing on negotiations from the Ministry of Climate, Energy & Utilities
• Presentation during the conference on the 11^th (tentative program attached)
• Reception at the Ambassador’s residence on the 12^th with the Official Danish Delegation

DANISH EVENT PACKAGE – BUILDINGS ADD-ON (11,000 DKK excl. VAT)

• Participation in the 2-day program
• Briefing on negotiations from the Ministry of Climate, Energy & Utilities
• Presentation during the conference on the 11^th (tentative program attached)
• Reception at the Ambassador’s residence on the 12^th with the Official Danish Delegation
• Workshop on Energy Efficiency in Buildings on the 12^th 

Prices are based on 50 per cent subsidy from the Danish Trade Council and a minimum of seven participating companies. Flights and hotels are not included in the price. If the subsidy is not obtained, or the number of participating companies change, we reserve the right to offer you participation at a different price.
