CCUS delegation to Germany, 18-19 April 2023

Carbon, Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) is gaining growing attention in Germany. With its large share of big CO2 capture sources and a growing demand for emission reductions, Germany is harboring great potential for CO2 capture technologies, transport, and storage. The German Federal government has announced the publication of a Carbon Management Strategy in the summer of 2023, and several federal states are working on CCUS activities. In light of these developments, we want to seize the opportunity to ensure optimal collaboration and the establishment of strong partnerships on CCUS across the border.

The Confederation of Danish Industry and the Royal Danish Embassy in Berlin are therefore delighted to invite you to a CCUS delegation visit to Germany. The first day will take place in Hamburg to shed light on cross-border infrastructure between Germany and Denmark, and to learn more about CO2 capture sources on site visits with industrial partners. The second day will take place in Berlin to discuss policy and framework conditions regarding CCUS with high level representatives from the public and private sector.

The program will be updated continuously, therefore, we encourage you to visit this page occasionally.
