COP17 – UN Biodiversity Conference
State of Green, Danish Industry, the Ministry of Green Transition, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are cordially inviting you to be a partner at the Nordic Pavilion at the UN Biodiversity Conference, COP17, in Yerevan, Armenia from 19–30 October 2026.
The global decline of biodiversity ranks among the most urgent environmental challenges of our time, and the conference brings together governments, businesses, civil society, and experts to drive accelerated action. For the first time, Denmark will have a visible presence in the Blue Zone through a shared Nordic Pavilion and a coordinated Danish business delegation.
Internationally recognised as leaders in sustainability, innovation, quality of life, etc., the Nordic countries are uniquely positioned to present a unified voice to the global community. The pavilion will serve as a platform to showcase Danish and Nordic solutions, forge stronger international partnerships, and engage in high-level dialogue.
Core themes driving the Nordic presence will be centred on the need for public-private partnerships, the need to mobilise private capital and incentives, clearer frameworks for sustainable value chains, corporate nature risk mapping, security of supply of natural resources and circular economy solutions.
COP17 in Armenia
COP17 main topics include resource mobilization and funding, as well as global planning, monitoring and review of collective progress in implementing the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework adopted at COP15 in 2022. It marks the midpoint assessment of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, forcing negotiators to confront the reality that public funding alone is insufficient to meet its ambitious targets. Partner Package at COP17
- Significant exposure of your company at the shared Nordic Pavilion, being the centre of the official Danish activities at COP17.
- Two Blue Zone accreditations to the official UNFCCC negotiation zone. You can register a contact person from your organisation and later decide who will get the accreditations.
- Opportunity to participate in events at the Nordic Pavilion (e.g. workshops, panels, meeting or presentations).
- Opportunity to organise own events at the pavilion, subject to demand by all partners and available time slots.
- Platform for bilateral meetings: closed meeting room available for booking, and access to an open networking area at the pavilion.
- Receptions and activities outside of the blue zone.
- Hotel: We have secured a limited group reservation at the Marriott and the Ramada — both at your own expense and on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that accommodation in Yerevan is filling up fast, so if you opt out, we encourage you to book independently as soon as possible.
The Fine Print
The price is calculated based on 15 participating Danish companies and an already deducted 50 pct. export subsidy (de minimis) from the Danish Trade Council. Registration is binding. Are you not eligible for export subsidy the base price of participation is up to DKK 40,000. If the number of participating companies’ changes, we reserve the right to offer participation at a different price. Should this result in a higher price than the one quoted you have the right to cancel your participation.
Registration is in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions for participation in Export Promotion Events of the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI).
