Denmark at COP26

JOIN THE DANISH PAVILION AT COP26 IN THE BLUE NEGOTIATION ZONE. TAKING PLACE IN GLASGOW, SCOTLAND, UNITED KINGDOM FROM 1 TO 12 NOVEMBER 2021. DEADLINE FOR SIGNING UP: 9 JULY 2021

THE DANISH PLATFORM AT COP26 CLIMATE PARTNERSHIPS TOWARDS 2030

Denmark has set an ambitious climate target, and COP26 will be an opportunity to showcase Denmark’s international green leadership as well as the green solutions needed to reach these targets. Therefore, the partners behind the pavilion have, for the first time since 2009, agreed to build a shared Danish Pavilion in the Blue Zone at COP26. This includes an agreement to secure Blue Zone accreditation for Danish company representatives participating in a Danish shared Pavilion. COP26 ensures two Blue Zone passes for each company as an official partner of the Danish Pavilion (terms and conditions apply).
The purpose is to share the common message of public and private stakeholders working to reduce CO2 emissions, including Denmark’s 70% reduction of green house gases in 2030. This will be done through a 150 sqm shared Pavilion in the Blue Zone, as the platform is for side events, networking, informal meeting, receptions and bilateral meetings.

COP26 in Glasgow

COP26 is expected to be the most important COP since COP21 in Paris, as it will be the COP to do a ”global stocktake” five years after the Paris Agreement. Furthermore, the national climate goals (NDCs) will be evaluated and the ambition level will be discussed. COP26 will be hosted by the United Kingdom, which is an ambitious climate nation and an important export market for Danish companies and solution providers. COP26 is Danish stakeholders’ opportunity to influence the global climate agenda and to promote the solutions that we, in Denmark, can contribute with to create a green transition.
