Danish Defence Industry Delegation to Paris
You are hereby invited to take part in the Defence Industry Delegation to Paris, France 2021 by the Confederation of Danish Industry, the Trade Council and the Defence Department, led by Defence Attaché, Brigadier General Prince Joachim.
France is known worldwide for the span of it’s defence industry. As a market France has approximately 5,000 companies and 400,000 jobs in the defence sector, and the French defencee industry accounts for over 25% of European capabilities.
France is only our 8th largest export marked and while the export has risen steadily over the last years the danish market share is still low. With France being one of the largest defence and energy markets in the world, there is a lot of potential for danish companies.
Over the past decades, France and Denmark have been standing shoulder to shoulder in the defence and security of Europe, on European soil as well as in the Balkans, Sahel, the Middle East and beyond. France and Denmark continue to cooperate closely on a number of key issues.
Therefore it is vital to strengthen the Strategic Sector Cooperation between Denmark and France in the defence and energy industry, and pivotal to the expected launch of the Danish Defence Industry Strategy in 2021.
Furthermore the event will profoundly support the prospects of the European collaboration regarding the European defence fund (EDF).
The COVID-19 situation has postponed several arrangements such as the Eurosatory 2020 in Paris, which make the trade advance corporation event with France even more relevant.
