Green Hydrogen - The New Nordic Black?

Danish and Icelandic trade possibilities in Hydrogen

Iceland and Denmark are both countries with high ambitions on the green agenda. Denmark aims to achieve a 70 % reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and phase out the use of all fossil fuels by 2050. Iceland aims to reduce net greenhouse gas emissions with 55 % by 2030 and reach carbon neutrality in 2040. After that, Iceland aims for negative net emissions. Power-to-X and green energy solutions are part of the way towards achieving the target.

Denmark aims to increase its international co-operation in clean energy solutions, building back the economy while promoting the climate agenda. The Danish Embassy in Iceland and Confederation of Danish Industry (DI) are organizing a webinar with partners in Iceland on green hydrogen and possible co-operation in this field.

The webinar takes place - online - on 1 June 2021, at 12.00–14.00h Danish time / 10.00-12.00 Icelandic time.
