Opportunities in Delivering Ireland’s Electricity Infrastructure

DI Danish Energy Industries (DI Energy) and ESB Group hereby invite you for a seminar to present the future procurement strategy and needs of ESB Group, Ireland.

ESB Group is Ireland’s foremost energy company. The company is responsible for the transmission and distribution of electricity in Ireland, operating across the electricity market from generation, through transmission and distribution, to supply. ESB Group needs to expand its supply chain to improve both the capacity and efficiency of the electrical grid. Ireland is committed to achieving a more sustainable energy future and promotes the use of cleaner energy sources. ESB Group is taking urgent and focused action to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2040.

ESB Group is actively seeking contractors to support its ambitious, all-of-system investment programme focused on modernising Ireland’s electricity infrastructure and decarbonizing its generation portfolio. From 2025 to 2031, ESB Networks and NIE Networks will invest a combined €16.5 billion in regulated network infrastructure under the upcoming price control cycles, while ESB Generation & Trading (G&T) is investing an additional €4.5–€5 billion by 2030 to develop new renewable assets, repower existing plants, and accelerate innovation in emerging technologies such as offshore wind, battery storage, and green hydrogen.

WHY PARTICIPATE?

ESB Group is looking to establish enduring relationships with companies to modernize the grid infrastructure on the island of Ireland. To achieve this goal, there are various programmes of work targeting different areas, such as: Overhead Lines, Substations, Transformers and Protection Systems, Civil Works and Planned Preventive Maintenance.

By attending this meeting, you get an overview of the plans, investments and procurement needs and partnership proposals from ESB Group and you get to have a direct B2B meeting with competent counterparts.

At the meeting, ESB is present and accompanied by several of their Irish-based principal contractors that may be interested in partnering with Danish companies. The list of Irish attendees will be published here in due time before the event.
