Visibuilt was founded in early 2023 by Line Kloster Pedersen, a biotechnologist and serial entrepreneur. Shocked by the asphalt industry’s reliance on outdated, oil-dependent methods, she created Visibuilt, aiming to reduce dependency on fossil-fueled binders and advance climate tech solutions. Inspired by observing fungi in nature and in the laboratory, she envisioned a natural fungal binder, which became visiBIT. Visibuilt’s mission is to pioneer sustainable solutions in road construction by replacing harmful substances from the fossil fuel industry with cutting-edge, earth-friendly materials in asphalt.
