Unlocking Potential in Production: Real-World Applications of AI, IoT, Edge, and Cloud
This conference explores how industrial companies apply AI, IoT, Edge and Cloud in environments with strict demands on stability, integration with legacy systems and real-time performance.
Digital technologies are reshaping industrial production, but implementation in practice requires more than new tools. At this conference, companies present how they have developed and deployed AI, IoT, Edge and Cloud in complex operational settings. The focus is on solutions built for reliability, adaptability and performance under pressure, and critical insights into the real costs, limitations, and opportunities of adopting AI at scale. Topics include system architecture, data flows, legacy infrastructure, responsiveness, and the organizational work behind sustainable implementation.
You will gain
- Practical insights into implementation strategies and long-term architecture decisions
- Lessons learned from both successes and challenges in scaling and securing new solutions
- A better understanding of how digital technologies complement each other in OT-heavy contexts
These perspectives come from companies and institutions working hands-on with the technologies, and from people who have had to make them work under real constraints.
You will hear from
- Novonesis on introducing Advanced Process Control in an existing Industry 3.0 plant, and on how the company works with reliability, security and legacy systems when applying Industry 4.0 technologies
- Topsoe on developing in-house R&D tools using AI and flow-based programming to support flexible and fast innovation
- Microsoft on the impact and the price of AI adoption – from hidden costs to real-world consequences
- Techsoft on how to navigate the many types of AI and assess which technologies match which types of problems and production setups
- SDU on edge-based predictive maintenance systems that are designed for scalability, minimal operator intervention and efficient use of local processing
- Siemens and Støtek on making Big Data easy and useful across sales, service and R&D, and on handling automation vs. IT in the development phase.
The day concludes with a panel discussion where selected speakers reflect on their decisions, trade-offs and lessons learned.
The conference will be held in English.
EXHIBITION
As a DAU member, you can exhibit at the mini exhibition at a favorable price. A stand costs twice the participant fee and includes two conference tickets. This gives you the chance to pitch your newest products during all breaks. Contact Mathias Kimer Larsen at mlar@di.dk or 3377 3870 to learn more.
VOUCHERS
DAU members in the two highest fee groups have access to vouchers for free participation. If your company is in the 20–250 employees group, you have one voucher for 2025. If you are in the 251+, you have two. To use a voucher, register at least two people at full price and email mlar@di.dk. We will deduct one ticket. Contact us if you're unsure about your voucher status.
