Time and Location

March 22, 2021

US time: 12. EST – 13.30 EST

DK time: 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm

Livestreamed from the Confederation of Danish Industry, Copenhagen, Denmark

During this event, we will zoom in on the potential in circular economy seen from a business perspective and from a Danish setting where public-private partnerships are crucial for achieving significant carbon emission reductions on a national scale.

What is Denmark’s vision for the Danish Climate Partnerships and a 70 percent reduction in emissions by 2030? This mission can definitely not be achieved by institutions or governments alone; it requires strong involvement and participation from industry and businesses as well.  So how does business unlock the potential and improve competition through circular economy?

Listen to keynote speaker Camilla Haustrup Hermansen, Director and co-owner of Plus Pack and Chair of the Danish government’s climate partnership on waste, water and circular economy, giving her insights on how circularity of materials can help accelerate a low-carbon transition not only in the manufacturing sector but also on a global scale.

Camilla will share her experiences with private-public partnerships and how this unique collaboration is a valuable instrument in the green transition, helping drive cross-sector action.

To add to the business point of view in the discussion about working with circular economy, two Danish trendsetting companies, Aarhus Water and Stena Recycling, will let us in on their daily work with circularity. What is the potential? The challenges? And what is the business potential from the perspective of a water utility and a recycling expert?
