Leading in a Danish Work Culture

Are you a manager with an international background working for a company in Denmark? Do you know what it takes to succeed in your new workplace culture?

This course will provide you with the insights and knowledge you need to succeed in your leadership role in the Danish workplace.

It starts with you. With the challenges you are facing at work. What puzzles you. What makes you hesitate. Your everyday challenges.

We will help you to understand the Danish workplace culture with its unwritten rules and democratic approach. What is expected from you as a manager in a non-hierarchical context? You will soon be able to expand your understanding of cultural differences and how to utilize these differences to create value in your everyday work.

In addition, we will provide you with the adequate managerial tools you need to improve on the abilities required for your position. Training sessions during the course will help you to anchor your new knowledge as ready-to-use competencies. Through active training sessions, you are offered the possibility to get and practice structured feedback as a development tool.

At last but not least, you will build a personal and confidential network with other international managers in Denmark.

Content of ‘Leading in a Danish Work Culture’

You will join a course consisting of the following three steps:

Before we meet

Before we meet, we will ask you to do a bit of ‘homework’. Don't worry - it won't take long. We want you to be ready when we meet for our 2-days course. After the course, you will get homework again, this time to integrate what you've learned during the course into you own leadership practice. We will follow-up with you during an online seminar shortly after the course.

2-days course

During the two days we spend together, we will focus on:

  • Danish Work Culture
  • The Danish Model – and what to be aware of in relation to Danish Labor Law
  • Global leadership in a local context
  • Cultural differences and cultural agility
  • Feedback

½ day webinar

  • Follow up and sharing experiences from home assignments
  • More inspiration on how to move on from here

What to take home

The course ‘Leading in a Danish Work Culture’ offers you and your company an understanding of leadership in a Danish professional context. This understanding is essential for delivering results together with your employees.
