Virtual Meeting with the Mexican Health Authority

The Mexican health system consists of three main subsystems operating in parallel, each responsible for funding, service provision and, to a large extent, regulation. Coverage for the poor and uninsured is organized by INSABI at the federal level based on the General Health Law and with collaboration by state governments to cover about 43.5% of the population.

To centralize the public procurement of medicine and medical aid supplies, the Mexican authorities have initiated a cooperation with UNOPS. The Mexican authorities have a list of more than 800 products (please see categories below) that have been through the general procurement process but where they are still looking for suppliers. As part of the ongoing close collaboration with the Mexican Government, the Embassy has been approached by INSABI and requested to provide urgent assistance to identify Danish companies that could be interested in delivering the needed products.

PRICE STRUCTURE

The initial virtual meeting is free of charge. The Danish Embassy in Mexico will be happy to provide any kind of further assistance and follow up, e.g. support with B2B meetings etc., which will be subject to a fee following MFA corporate rules depending on the time used (estimated 8-12 hours per company with the current rate of 500 DKK per hour & the possibility of a 50% reduction for SMEs). 

WHEN AND WHERE

The virtual meeting will take place on 12 May 2021 at 16-17 hours Danish time, via the platform Zoom. Interpretation will also be available. 

After having registered for this event, please send an e-mail to the Embassy contact person mentioning the categories your company is interested in obtaining more specific production information about. Please refer to the information below.

The Embassy will then contact you with the product specifications within the category/categories, you requested, including further information on the event.

If your company can cover the demand for one or more products and all products have the European Medicine Agency approval, you can participate in this initial virtual meeting to hear more about the procurement process and next steps.
