More than a year has gone since the UK left the EU’s single market and new rules on trade in services entered into force. Still, it is hard for companies to navigate in the UK’s new rules on business mobility.

DI had received a lot of questions from companies who were uncertain if their employees needed a visa when being posted temporarily to the UK. And if yes, which particular visa of the many routes would be the right one.

The questions oscillated in the following fields:

  • Supply of services, with a special focus on installation and repair on equipment (manufacturers and their subcontractors), as well as in the windmill and construction industry
  • Hiring out of labour, both directly to a British client and as subcontractor to a Danish supplier of services to a British client
  • Posting of employees intra company to a subsidiary in the UK
  • Remote work from the UK (without a British employer)

Therefore, DI, together with British experts from UK GOV Home Office hosted a joint webinar on UK Business Mobility Rules on the 4 April 2022.
