Webinar: Tech & Digitization in Italy

DI Digital & The Royal Danish Embassy in Rome invite you to explore market opportunities for tech and digitalisation in the Italian market.

Italy is the third largest economy in the EU and has received the highest amount of funds for its National Recovery Plan: a total of 221 billion euros. The Country has made tremendous progress with strong ambitions for a valuable digital transformation of both its companies as well as public administration. As part of the recovery package, 40.7 billion euros (21% of the total NRRP budget) have been allocated to digitalization and innovation with the aim of fostering digitalization of the public administration, improving effectiveness and encouraging the digital transition and the innovation of the production system to boost the competitiveness and productivity of the country.

    • 09:00 Welcoming remarks by Director at DI International Business Development, Jeppe Falck, team leader, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Christian Staffeldt and head of digitization and public-private partnerships, DI Digital, Mette Smith Thastum.

      DI and the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs focuses on Italy, the opportunities for Danish suppliers of digital and technological solutions within eg govtech, healthtech, foodtech, greentech and fintech, and how the two organisations can assist when wishing to take on new export adventures.

    • 09:10 Overview of the business opportunities in the Italian market by Head of Trade Thomas Rizk and Senior Trade Advisor Vanessa Lista.

      Experts in Tech and Digitization from The Trade Council at the Danish Embassy in Italy will provide an overview of the existing and future business opportunities for Danish companies in the Italian market. They will present the results of their latest analysis on GovTech and HealthTech as well as provide insights into upcoming projects and investments related to Italy's recovery plan focusing also on other priority sectors such as EdTech and FinTech. They will also explain more about the Embassy’s future plans to promote collaboration between Italy and Denmark in the sector.
