ENERGY EFFICIENCY GERMANY

10.45 – 11.30

Background
Energy efficiency is pursued still more vigorously in Germany. Efforts are accelerating to improve energy efficiency in all sectors, e.g. optimization of heating systems for water and buildings, improved insulation, better windows and lighting, and for the industry more efficient drives, pumps, motors and compressed air as well as intelligent control and energy management.

DENEFF (Deutsche Unternehmensinitiative Energieeffizienz) is the Germany association for EE working to improve EE efforts in Germany, and through the EDL HUB it seeks to dessiminate knowledge to indutry and citizens about the best solutions and experience available. Through the Sustainable Industries Alliance, a number of Danish companies are working to expand their German business. Building owners and developers have increasing demands for EE in buildings, taking a more holistic view bringing down the energy and climate footprint both in the operation and construction phase.
