Offshore Wind in France - Business Opportunities

France's electricity mix is heavily reliant on nuclear power production. The country's goal is to achieve energy independence whilst increasing the proportion of renewable energy in its electricity mix. The government’s latest announcements confirm a favourable political context to further develop offshore wind in France.

This webinar will provide an introduction to the offshore wind objectives and targets of France and how they are pursued in energy planning and tenders. Specifically, the webinar will provide information on the business opportunities for Danish companies including upcoming tenders taking place in 2024 and early 2025. Among these tenders, a mega-tender of around 10 GW has been announced.

The Danish Embassy in France is deeply engaged in a partnership with France, sharing information and expertise in wind energy, particularly regarding the build-out of offshore wind. Experts from the embassy will share information and be available for questions. Further, Danish companies already involved in the sector in France will share their experience. Further, the webinar will provide an overview of concrete activities and steps for companies wishing to engage and pursue the opportunities through 2024.

The webinar takes place at 12.30 – 13.30. After the webinar, companies can book an individual free consultation with experts from the Danish Embassy in France later that same afternoon. Physically at the House of Industry in Copenhagen or online.

*The webinar will take place in English.
