Powering European Industry
Energy at the center of European industrial strategy
European industry faces several challenges: High energy prices, exacerbated by geopolitical events, continues to threaten profitability and competitiveness. Meanwhile, society is challenged by climate change and dependency on imported fossil fuels and raw materials.
A strategic focus on reducing the energy competitiveness gap, while increasing green energy supply and energy efficiency is needed. To address these urgent issues, European industry leaders will convene in Sønderborg, Denmark to discuss necessary strategies and action to reinvigorate European competitiveness.
Powering European Industry takes place at a critical juncture amidst the leadership transition in the European Union and the forthcoming US elections. The main objective is for business and thought leaders to address the challenges and optimize European competitiveness in an energy perspective.
The debate will be informed by new reports by the IEA, Mario Draghi, BusinessEurope and Danfoss.
The conference provides an exclusive opportunity to discuss European industrial competitiveness with leading analysts, policy makers and European industry leaders – strengthening the foundation and providing a signal for the incoming European political leadership on this important agenda.
Powering European Industry is hosted jointly by Danish Industry, Danfoss, the International Energy Agency and BusinessEurope – all committed to exploring necessary steps to improve Europe’s competitiveness in conjunction with energy transition.
