Energy Efficiency Poland

10.30-11.15

Decarbonizing Industry and Buildings

Background
Accelerating decarbonization is in Poland’s economic interest. Achieving net zero emissions by 2050 will add an average 0.2 percent of GDP a year, leading to a cumulative 4 % gain by 2050. At the same time, the reduction in air pollution brought about by decarbonization can lead to additional gains in terms of reduced mortality and increased productivity (…) according to the World Bank Group’s “Poland Country Climate and Development Report”.

Poland is a fast-growing market and right now funds are being disbursed from EU Recovery Programme, providing further impetus to an already positive market outlook for energy efficient solutions both in industry and the built environment.

This workshop will document and discuss the business opportunities in taking part in the decarbonization of industry and buildings in Poland.
