Powering European Industry

Electrification: A Keystone of Europe's Industrial Strategy

Powering up: The Electrified EU
European industry faces numerous challenges, including high energy prices, geopolitical instability, climate change, and dependency on imported fossil fuels and raw materials. Electrification is crucial for achieving lower energy prices and enhancing European competitiveness. Join us as we launch our policy paper on electrification, and discuss how to secure sufficient energy, foster economic growth, and create quality jobs through a comprehensive European Electrification Action Plan.

The Danish Presidency of the EU-Council 2025
From 1 July to 31 December 2025, Denmark will hold the presidency of the EU Council, meaning that the Danish government and ministries will lead the negotiations on the council's mandates regarding legislation and regulation during this period. Additionally, the Danish EU presidency will provide a unique opportunity and platform for setting significant agendas. Several crucial EU agendas within energy are expected to be discussed, including the upcoming "Electrification Action Plan," the "Industrial Decarbonization Accelerator Act," and the "European Grid Package."

Launching: Powering European Industry
In connection with the Danish EU presidency, Danish Industry (DI) is committed to ensuring that competitiveness remains the central focus, while maintaining high European green ambitions, with electrification as a key driver. Collaboration with our European network of sister organizations and decision-makers in Denmark and Brussels will be crucial to creating the right impact on the energy agenda. We are thrilled to announce the launch of our European electrification policy paper. This conference will provide an exclusive opportunity to engage with leading analysts, policymakers, and European industry leaders. Together, we will discuss ways to enhance European industrial competitiveness and address energy challenges. This dialogue will strengthen our foundation and send a strong signal to the incoming European political leadership on the importance of electrification.
