World Energy Outlook is the annual flagship publication of the International Energy Agency and the energy world’s most authoritative source of analysis and projections.
The presentation by IEA’s Chief Energy Economist Tim Gould will provide an overview of global trends in energy supply, demand, investment, and geopolitical linkages. Further, perspectives on topics of urgent and strategic importance will be discussed with senior energy leaders and experts in two panels:
- Meeting the Energy Security Challenge
- Unleashing the Required Investments
World Energy Outlook 2025 comes against a backdrop of major shifts in energy policies and markets, and acute geopolitical strains. Governments are reaching different conclusions about the best ways to tackle concerns about energy security, affordability, and the increasingly visible impacts of climate change. This year’s publication will contain multiple scenarios that reflect the wide spectrum of possible outcomes that today's markets and policies imply.
