AUSTRALIA – country session

08.30 – 9.15

Boosting renewables

Background
Australia is committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, driving substantial investments in renewable energy. Renewables account for nearly 40% of the nation’s electricity generation with significant potential for further investments in the coming years.

To support this growth, the Australian government is implementing the Capacity Investment Scheme (CIS), which facilitates renewable energy development through competitive auctions. Additionally, developers are increasingly integrating wind, PtX, solar, and battery storage systems to enhance energy reliability and efficiency. This trend presents an excellent opportunity for Danish suppliers to contribute with their advanced components and solutions. These opportunities will be explored and discussed at this workshop.
