Navigating Uncertainty: IMO Net-Zero Framework and the future of shipping
The maritime sector is facing growing uncertainty. Geopolitical tensions and disruptions to global energy supply chains are exposing the industry's dependence on fossil fuels and highlighting the need for greater resilience.
While the IMO's Net Zero framework is expected to be a defining moment for global shipping, the fate of it remains uncertain.
This workshop explores perspectives on the IMO process, and what it could mean for the shipping and energy sector, from cargo owners to fuel producers. Bringing together perspectives from across the value chain, the session will discuss the implications of the upcoming negotiations and how the shipping industry is navigating the twin challenges of energy security and decarbonisation.
