North Africa – Market Overview
08.30 – 9.15
Growing markets near Europe
Background
The countries in North Africa are increasingly relevant for Danish exporters and project developers in energy. Europe needs to replace Russian sources of energy while also transitioning to green sources. North Africa has abundant solar and wind resources, and its proximity to Europe makes it an ideal source of energy for Europa. In this workshop Danish ambassadors to North Africa will explore the opportunities and challenges for energy companies in this neighboring region. The presentation will include a look at the political commitments on both sides of the Mediterranean, economic and geopolitical drivers, and specific markets issues and examples of projects currently in the pipeline.
