The district heating has found its place as an energy efficient heat source supporting Germany's target of climate neutrality by 2050.

DREWAG – Dynamo of Dresden’s Energiewende
DREWAG - Stadtwerke Dresden GmbH is one of Germany’s larger public utilities. It provides power, heating, gas and water for Dresden in Sachsen. Today, the company is transforming towards more efficiency and more renewable energy sources for heating and therefore plays a role in Sachsen’s and Germany’s heating transition - “Wärmewende”.

Logstor is the world’s leading manufacturer of pre-insulated pipe systems used in district heating. The company has 50 years’ experience in development, manufacture, sales and service of district heating systems. Today, the company employs 1200 people in 12 countries – including Germany which is a main market for the company taking part in heating projects throughout the country, including Sachsen.

Denmark is Engaged
Denmark is well connected to the sector through long-standing collaboration at industry level accompanied by dialogue between energy authorities to strengthen the expansion of district heating in Germany. The Trade Council, DI Energy, DBDH and the Danish Energy Agency collaborate to build on the business potential within district heating in Germany, enabling Danish industry to engage further.
