What is the content of the sessions?

Other than being a professional network, the EU Public Affairs Network involves meeting with centrally located Danish and foreign decision-makers in the EU institutions. The network provides DI members the chance to:

  • Be updated on the latest news from EU
  • Expand one’s network among decision-makers in the EU institutions
  • Promote business-related agendas in Brussels
  • Exchange views with other actors within the branch

The network sessions typically take place over the course of two days and is arranged based on current agendas related to business policy.

The network sessions take place twice a year in Brussels and attendance is free of charge. Travel costs related to transport to and from Denmark as well as accommodation in Brussels are at one’s own expense.

Who can participate?

The network is intended for public affairs managers and/or employees from DI’s member companies with interest in European politics and political lobbying. The network is open to all relevant employees no matter geographical location and spoken language. The sessions will be done in English if non-Danish speaking employees attend.

Examples of themes

The most recent sessions have dealt with international trade regarding EU’s relations with China as well as the newly held 2019 European Parliament elections. Brexit is also a topic that continuously receives attention throughout the network sessions.
