Poland

The country has one of the lowest water resource reserves in Europe with a per capita water availability around 1630m3/yr. Furthermore, water resources are unevenly distributed geographically with more than 50% of the country experiencing shortages of both surface and ground water resources. This is especially pronounced in the eastern and western regions.
