The Value of Biosolutions

Biosolutions are addressing some of the most pressing global challenges like energy diversification, food security and sustainability – and are driving job creation, competitiveness, and economic resilience around the world. They hold the key to securing a prosperous future.

For the first time ever, this report evaluates the economic impact of biosolutions globally and in individual markets. As part of a larger series of reports, the Danish edition focuses on global data generally and on data in Denmark specifically. It outlines a roadmap for harnessing biosolutions’ potential in Denmark. Future editions will investigate the economic footprint and the value of biosolutions in other countries.

In terms of economic value the biosolutions sector represents EUR 5.3 billion, while in job creation the biosolutions sector supports 17,000 jobs across the country.
