Terma North America signs a $306 million contract with U.S. Air Force
2021 started out well for the Defence Industry when Denmark's biggest Defence company Terma was awarded a 10-year contract with the U.S. Air Force.
Terma - a trusted supplier
Terma North America, which is Terma's American subsidiary company, is now officially the provider of self-protection hardware, sustainment and engineering services for the U.S Air Force.
Terma's self-protection hardware is already being used in more than 1.500 NATO aircraft, including the Danish ones. Though, this self-protection hardware is a bit less advanced compared to the ones required by the U.S. Air Force.
Nevertheless, Jes Munk Hansen, CEO of Terma, is ready for the challenge. He is looking forward to being celebrating 25 years as a continued trusted supplier of self-protection equipment to the U.S. Air Force.
- With our enhanced series of advanced aircraft survivability equipment Terma now enters a new phase of collaboration with the U.S. Air Force to protect numerous platforms and to ensure the safe return of pilots and crews everywhere, explains Mr. Hansen.
A positive impact on the whole industry
With this new contract not only Terma is being acknowledged for its high-quality solutions but it addresses the whole Defence Industry as well.
Terma is the biggest Defence company in Denmark, which means that the contract will have a positive impact on the supply chain in Denmark as well. It also highlights Denmark's capability to deliver to the American Defence industry, which might create new possibilities in the Danish Defence Industry.
