Denmark-Korea Defence Joint Commitee Delegation

DI Danish Defence and Security Association, in cooperation with the Embassy of Denmark to Korea, are honoured to invite Danish companies to the 5th Denmark-Korea Defense Joint Committee Meeting (JCM) held on 20-23 September 2022.

The Joint Committee Meeting (JCM) takes place annually with each side alternately hosting the meeting. The aim of this seminar is to share each country’s major defense projects and overall procurement policy directions.

This year, the seminar will be held in Korea concurrently with the Defense & Security Expo Korea (DX Korea) taking place. The meeting is more relevant than ever for Danish companies to attend as the Korean government recently announced an increase of KRW 315.2 trillion (USD 271.5 billion) to the next five year national defense budget plan for 2022-2026.

Around 66% of the funds will be allocated for military operations, while 33% will be allocated to force modernization including procurement and research and development (R&D), providing huge opportunities for Danish companies.

The event also provides great opportunity for G2B and B2B networking and to learn more about the Korean National Defense Industrial Strategy and key major upcoming and/or ongoing acquisitions in Korea. The series of B2B meetings will be held on the second day after the JCM with Korean defense companies.

By participating, Danish companies will gain a unique chance to meet Korean counterparts and build strong business relationships through the Denmark-Korea Defense Joint Committee Meeting 2022. Your participation in the seminar will help your potential partnerships in Korea to grow and form a better starting point for your business in the Korean market.
