ASD represents the aeronautics, space and defence industry in Europe. The overall mission of ASD is to enhance the competitive development of the aeronautic, space and defence industry in Europe.

ASD has 28 member associations in 20 countries across Europe and represents over 2000 companies with a further 80 000 suppliers of which many are SMEs. The industry sectors employ around 638 000 people with a turnover of over €170 billion.

The ASD Secretariat is based in Brussels with a Space office in Paris in order to maintain strong links with the European Space Agency.

DI Danish Defence and Security Industries Association is a member of ASD and participates in different working groups and represents the Nordic defence industry associations on the ASD Board on rotation.
