In advance, he was quite disappointed with the poor quality available on the market. The products he found were either too expensive, uncomfortable, or simply didn't offer the level of protection needed. Recognizing this gap in the market, he decided to take matters into his own hands. 

Driven by a desire for better personal safety, he began researching materials, testing designs, and refining concepts until he eventually developed a bullet proof vest that met his high standards for reliability and safety. This journey of innovation and determination led to the founding of PGD. With a clear mission to provide high-quality protective gear, the company quickly gained a reputation for excellence, focusing on delivering products that ensure the safety of those who put themselves at risk to protect others.

Today, PGD operates from two locations in the EU, employing 9 people in a 1400 m² facility in Randers and 12 employees in a 500 m² facility in Bulgaria

Conquering new continents

PGD now has distributors and customers in more than 25 countries, including Europe, North America (USA and Canada), and Japan. The customers range from private individuals and companies to distributors, police forces, and defense organizations. 

At PGD, no orders or customers are too small - everyone is valued. Quality and service remain the absolute top priorities for all customers. In 2023, PGD took a major step in its growth by establishing the subsidiary PGD USA Inc., aimed at further expanding its presence in the North American market.

The products will always focus on personal protection - ballistic helmets, hard armor plates, soft armor, bulletproof vests, cut-resistant gloves, and various accessories. All development takes place in Denmark, with production in Denmark and the EU. Most importantly, maintaining high quality, strong credibility, and excellent customer service remains a cornerstone of PGD’s DNA.

Strengthening the Danish defense industry

The need to strengthen the Danish defense industry is crucial, and it’s encouraging to see it gaining increased political attention. PGD is proactively responding to this by making strategic investments to expand production and storage capacity. We are continuously developing new and improved products while also bringing on new personnel. PGD is fully committed and ready to play our role in building a stronger and more resilient Danish defense industry.
