Generally about an internship at DI's international offices

Job content, length of the internship and work location

  • The job will be specified in the job description.
  • Generally, the length of the internship may vary from 5-12 months. This will be specified in the job description.
  • Generally, your primary work location will be in the country and city, where we have our international office. This will be specified in the job description. You will also have the opportunity to use our HQ’s office location in Copenhagen and Aarhus, when you are in Denmark.

About the role, qualifications and about you

  • The role, qualifications and about you will be specified in the job description.
  • However, we generally require written and verbal proficiency in Danish and English. We generally also require that applications are students at a higher Danish educational institution at the time of application and throughout the internship.
  • It will generally be advantage if you have knowledge about or experience with the country you are looking to get an internship in. However, experience with the country is not a requirement. But interest in the country is a requirement.
  • You must be eligible for a visa in the country. DI will sponsor and pay for the visa.

Contract, housing, salary and visa

  • An internship agreement will be signed prior to starting the internship. The internships are generally unpaid. However, there will usually be provided a housing contribution. This will be specified in the job description.
  • Usually, it will be possible to receive SU during the internship. However, we advise all students to apply for scholarships and grants for partial coverage of expenses related to the internship.
  • The intern is responsible themselves for finding and pay for housing. We usually recommend reaching out to previous or coming interns to join forces when finding a place abroad.
  • You must be eligible for a visa in the country. DI will sponsor and pay for the visa.
