MacArtney A/S

Founded in 1978 by Martin "Mac" and Winnie MacArtney, the company began its journey in Esbjerg, Denmark, with a vision to become an independent supplier of cables and submarine equipment. From the early days of operating with a telex machine in the kitchen, the business successfully developed into the MacArtney Group, a global enterprise supplying innovative underwater technology.

MacArtney has established itself as a privately owned global market leader, leveraging over forty years of experience. With its headquarters in Esbjerg, the company has expanded its reach with offices across APAC, Europe, and the Americas, ensuring global access to local support.

The company's extensive product portfolio comprises connectivity, data acquisition, and launch & recovery systems, covering applications from the surface to the seafloor. MacArtney's offerings cater to diverse sectors, including marine and offshore, ocean science, and naval industries, including customised solutions that meet each client's unique needs.

MacArtney’s expertise in CUSV winch solutions

Leveraging extensive experience and a longstanding collaboration with defence leaders such as Textron Systems and Raytheon, MacArtney Underwater Technology delivers custom-built winch solutions for the Common Unmanned Surface Vehicle (CUSV®).

CUSV winch solutions

In close partnership with Textron Systems, MacArtney's teams meticulously design, produce, and test winches capable of withstanding shock and vibration from exploding mines, meeting stringent military specifications. This involves ensuring alignment on innovation, development, and timing.

Similarly, with Raytheon, MacArtney supplies autonomously controlled winch systems for the Unmanned Influence Sweep System (UISS) platform on the CUSV®, providing flexible integration and comprehensive systems solutions.

MacArtney prioritises customer specifications from concept to delivery, offering expertise across various applications and specific defence needs.
