GREEN HYDROGEN

-

Green Hydrogen / Power-to-X is a technology area experiencing steep growth as a range of countries and industries realise that it is a realistic way to meet future energy demand in energy intensive industries and processes.

Denmark gets lots of international attention as a potential future supplier of green hydrogen and other power-to-X fuels for Europe and as an investor and supplier of PtX technologies – both upstream and downstream – in the future.

At Green Energy Export Day, three workshops are devoted to discussing the market for green hydrogen, PtX technologies – and how for the Danish energy industry to meet the challenges strategically – turning them into business and exports.

11.15 WORKSHOP #1

GREEN HYDROGEN / THE DANISH EXPORT CASE

Background
Green hydrogen holds massive potentials for Danish exports – both the hydrogen and associated technologies. This session will give you an overview of green hydrogen as a Danish export stronghold in the future. We will discuss the possibilities, the obstacles, how companies prepare for the future market and which initiatives and instruments must be deployed to realise the export potential. Join this workshop to get an overview – discuss the potential and how to get there.

Speakers

  • Lukas Ramsøe, Project Manager, CIP Fonden
  • Anders Nimgaard Schultz, Director of PtX, Rambøll
  • Christian Dahl Winther, Associate Director, EIFO
  • Jesper Buhl, Head of Communications and PA, Green Hydrogen Systems

Moderator

  • Maja Østergaard, Head of Partnerships, State of Green

Organiser

  • Henrik Skou, Senior Advisor, DI Energy, hesk@di.dk

13.00 WORKSHOP #2

GREEN HYDROGEN / TECHNOLOGY EXPORT OPPORTUNITIES US

Background
The US has signed in on the green transition. With large new investments and efficient frameworks in place, the market
opportunities are enormous. A big push is taking place across many US states in pursuit of this attractive business.
This session focuses on the technology export and the direct investments made in the US. Where in the US is the
industry setting up? What is at stake for Danish companies and how do they become part? Can Danish companies succeed in the
US while also developing the market in Europe? How do we get started?

Join this workshop to get the answers and discuss how to get there.

Speakers

  • Morten Siem Lynge, Consul General, Trade Council North America Energy Team
  • Amalie Giødesen Thystrup, Energy Policy Advisor, New York State Energy Research & Development (NYSERDA), Embassy of Denmark in Washington D.C.
  • Jaime Casasus-Bribian, Director, Head of PtX Projects Americas, European Energy

Moderator

  • Mille Munksgaard, Director of Strategy, DI USA

  • Henrik Skou, Senior Advisor, DI Energy, hesk@di.dk

14.30 WORKSHOP #3

GREEN HYDROGEN / EUROPE: GERMANY, NETHERLANDS, BELGIUM

Background
European countries are preparing hydrogen strategies to establish a supply to meet the extensive demand for green hydrogen. This poses an immense export potential for Denmark. The European energy system relies heavily on imports and there is a strong drive to achieve higher energy security and self sufficiency in Europe in the future. Energy intensive industries such as chemical, metal and heavy transports need vast amounts of green fuels. Denmark is well positioned to become a green powerhouse, supplying the European industries with green molecules. What is the market outlook, where are the biggest potentials, can we activate the whole value chain, and how do we benefit from the potentials?

Join this workshop to get the answers and discuss how to realise the export opportunities for PtX / hydrogen in Europe.
