We are excited to invite you to join the Danish pavilion at Offshore Korea 2024, one of the world’s leading maritime and offshore energy gatherings.

Join, and showcase your company´s latest solutions and technologies to local industry officials, professionals, and experts from the entire field within the shipbuilding, shipping, offshore wind, and energy industry.

The pavilion is jointly organized by Danish Industry, Danish Export Association, Danish Maritime, and the Danish Trade Council in Korea.

Green transition is high on the agenda in Korea. Green fuels and the related technologies as well as, green steel, and green turbines are keywords in the world’s leading shipbuilding nation. At the same time, exports of Danish energy- and maritime technologies to Korea have more than doubled over the last 10 years. There is still plenty of opportunity for development, as the current energy mix in Korea is still dominated by fossil fuels. Renewable energy sources only make up 4%, however, the renewable energy share is targeted increase to 30.6% by 2036, and carbon neutrality is targeted to 2050.

The sizeable Offshore Korea 2024  fair  has a split focus on both maritime technology and offshore energy , both with a clear sustainable agenda. Danish companies are especially strong within these fields, and the Korean market has an enormous potential for offshore energy development with the first turbines being installed now, and a target of 14.3 GW offshore wind to be installed by 2030. Korea has significant ambitions within Power-to-X and Carbon Capture as well. This makes the Korean maritime sector an ideal market for Danish companies who wish to expand their business, and create partnerships with Korean counterparts.

Offshore Korea 2024 is hosted by the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) in collaboration with Busan Metropolitan City, and the event is sponsored by the top three Korean shipyards – Samsung Heavy Industries, Hyundai Heavy Industries, and Hanwha Ocean.
