The sizeable Offshore Korea 2024 fair in Busan has both focus on maritime technology and offshore energy, with a clear sustainable agenda. Danish companies are especially strong within these fields, including shipbuilding industry where Korea has been one of the largest players in the world. The Korean market has also an enormous potential for offshore energy development with the first turbines being installed now, and a target of 14.3 GW offshore wind to be installed by 2030. Korea has significant ambitions within Power-to-X and Carbon Capture as well. This makes the Korean maritime sector an ideal market for Danish companies who wish to expand their business, and create partnerships with Korean counterparts.
