Join the Danish Food Delegation on a deep-dive market exploration mission to Osaka and Kyoto in Japan. For the first time ever, a Danish Food delegation is venturing outside Tokyo to explore opportunities to strengthening Danish export to Japan.

The programme for the delegation will be a combination of introductory meetings to the region, B2B meetings with key players within food service, HoReCa and industry in both Osaka and Kyoto including two days exhibition at the new food and HoReCa exhibition Hoteres Japan & FOODEX JAPAN Kansai 2024 taking place in Osaka at INTEX.

Tourism Boom: Kyoto, in particular, attracts millions of tourists each year who seek authentic dining experiences. Danish food companies can capitalize on this influx of visitors by offering distinct Nordic flavors and cuisine, catering to the preferences of both local and international tourists.

Growth in HoReCa Segment: The hospitality, restaurant, and catering (HoReCa) segment in Osaka and Kyoto is experiencing steady growth, driven by increasing consumer demand for dining out and experiential dining. Danish food companies can tap into this trend by supplying premium ingredients, ready-to-eat meals, or specialty food items to restaurants, hotels, and catering services in the region.

World Expo 2025: With Osaka hosting the World Expo in 2025, there will be a surge in visitors from around the globe. This presents an excellent opportunity for Danish food companies to establish partnerships with local businesses, and gain exposure to a diverse audience in 2025.

Overall, the food service scene in Osaka and Kyoto offers Danish food companies a fertile ground for expansion, innovation, and collaboration. By leveraging the region's culinary reputation, tourism appeal, and market dynamics, Danish companies can carve out a niche and establish a strong presence in the Kansai region of Japan.
