About the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR)

The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) is responsible for developing and coordinating U.S. international trade, commodity, and direct investment policy, and overseeing negotiations with other countries. The head of USTR is the U.S. Trade Representative, a Cabinet member who serves as the president’s principal trade advisor, negotiator, and spokesperson on trade issues.

About L. Daniel Mullaney

Dan Mullaney has served as Assistant United States Trade Representative for Europe and the Middle East at the Office of the United States Trade Representative since 2010.  As head of USTR’s Europe and Middle East office, he is responsible for developing and implementing U.S. trade policy with Europe, including the European Union, Eurasia, including Russia, and the Middle East/North Africa.
