COP29
State of Green, Danish Industry, Royal Danish Consulate General in Istanbul, the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are cordially inviting you to participate in this year’s COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Registration link will open on this page FRIDAY 7 JUNE 10.00.
Denmark has set an ambitious climate target, and COP29 will be another opportunity to showcase Denmark’s international green leadership, as well as the green solutions needed to reach these targets. Therefore, the partners behind the pavilion have agreed to build a shared Danish Pavilion in the Blue Zone at COP29. This includes an agreement to secure Blue Zone accreditation for Danish company representatives participating in a Danish shared Pavilion. COP29 ensures two Blue Zone passes for each company as an official partner of the Danish Pavilion (terms and conditions apply).
The purpose is to share the common message of public and private stakeholders working to reduce emissions, including Denmark’s 70% reduction of greenhouse gases in 2030. This will be done through the shared Pavilion in the Blue Zone, as a platform for side events, networking, informal meetings, receptions as well as bilateral meetings. Again we are hosting two networking reception in the city centre during COP29.
COP29 in Baku
It is expected that governments will set a new post-2025 finance goal at COP29, which will have implications for the outcome of previous agreements about scaled up ambition on cutting emissions, adapting to climate change, loss and damage.
COP29, like its predecessors, will focus on advancing the goals of the UNFCCC and the Paris Agreement, including efforts to limit global warming, adapt to the impacts of climate change, and mobilize financing for these activities.
