DANISH INTERIOR DESIGN TO NEW YORK - CIRCULAR CITY WEEK

Join a unique opportunity for Danish companies within interior design to showcase products, engage in the American design community, and to develop new sales channels. This program will take place during Circular City Week in New York - one of the most important platforms for circular solutions when it comes to attracting attention from American sustainability and industry professionals.

Circular City Week is an open collaborative festival for circular economy related events, and the biggest circular economy festival in the US. The activities during Circular City Week emphasize how circular practices such as reuse, recycling, and upcycling are transforming urban industries and the city into one whole. In 2021, 8800+ people registered for Circular City Week New York events.

Hosted by the Confederation of Danish Industry, Danish Cleantech Hub, and the Consulate General of Denmark in New York, this event is an official part of the Circular City Week program aiming to help Danish SMVs within interior design and home décor tap into this growing market demand and assist each attending company with positioning their respective products as innovative and trendsetting.

Activities and program

The program will consist of four different types of activities:

  • 1 x Circular pop-up exhibition in New York City
  • 2 x Lunch & Learn with selected guests
  • 3 x Expert Briefings
  • 1 x VIP Reception

The activities combined will secure a relevant group of potential buyers, customers, press and other stakeholders. The pop-up exhibition in SoHo will be your chance to showcase your flagship pieces and connect with special invited guests. The lunch & learn sessions will be a way to promote your company in front of a selected group. Expert briefings will get you up to date with the latest trends in the US market within marketing, PR, and sales - and the VIP reception is your chance to network with high level decision makers from potential collaborators, buyers, and retailers.

Who should join?

The program mainly targets Danish SMVs working within the field of interior design and home décor who create products and solutions based on circular economy principles. These include, but are not limited to, lifetime extension initiatives, circular material choices, take-back schemes, leasing or shared economy business models, upcycling practices etc.

This program is designed to both assist companies already having a strong presence in the US and companies looking for market expansion on the American market.
