Danish Business Delegation to Circular City Week in New York
Become part of the official Danish delegation to New York for companies focusing on circular solutions, competencies, and business models.
Circular City Week (CCW) is the largest festival in the United States within circular economy and solutions and will take place until May 2022. CCW was created by DI’s office in New York to unite actors across sectors as well as to accelerate the circular transition. CCW is an international showcase where Danish companies will have the opportunity to exhibit their innovative and circular solutions, which are increasingly in demand internationally. Companies that have either an innovation or business interest in the United States will experience great value from the delegation.
The delegation is part of DI USA's Circular Focus Program, which means that we can offer Danish companies several follow-up initiatives and assistance along the way. Doing this, we can ensure that companies follow up on the opportunities provided by the delegation, as well as strengthen their export possibilities and visibility on the American market.

AUDIENCE
The program will be tailored to the group of companies attending and we can therefore offer participation to a wide range of companies and industries for whom circular economy is a core competence, an innovation area, or a central business focus. The delegation is intended both for companies that want to be inspired and explore what the circular future of the United States looks like, and for companies that are actively seeking to gain a share of the American market. Participating companies can be within anything from production, software and design, urban space solutions to waste and material development. Consultants, architects, and commercial advisors are also invited to attend.
Participation in the Circular City Week
The festival consists of 100+ different events and we will assist participating companies in identifying the most relevant sessions to participate in. This means that you can put together a customized program that allows your company to meet and explore precisely the people and sectors that are most relevant to you. You have the opportunity to arrive in New York both sooner, or stay longer to attend several of the festival's events.
Exclusive Danish Showcase Event
Participating companies will be offered to speak at DI’s official Danish Circular City Week event. All companies will have the opportunity to present solutions and thus become part of the Danish narrative of how circularity can be implemented across industries and in many different ways. Participants will consist of both public and private stakeholders.
Circular VIP Night
As the official host of Circular City Week, we invite New York’s circular pioneers to a VIP evening. The purpose is to give Danish companies a unique opportunity to meet the most important actors within the field and to build an even stronger network in the US. It will also be possible to invite your own acquaintances and business partners.
Joint Company Visits
We organize 3 joint company visits to large local companies who all strongly contribute to the circular agenda in the United States. Exactly which companies we plan to visit, will be based on the participants' wishes, but typically large retail chains, urban areas with a circular focus, or companies within design, food, plastic, who have already created commercial success with circular business models.
About the circular economy in the United States
In New York and the rest of the United States, the circular economy is a hot topic. Every year, CCW has gained greater and greater support. In 2021 alone there were 245 international and local organizations involved in 92 events. Danish knowledge and experience is in great demand across the American market. This is especially the case for industries such as plastics and packaging, construction, textile, energy and water, food and digitization and many others. CCW 2022 offers your company a unique opportunity to take the temperature of circularity in the United States, as well as to showcase your company on an international stage and platform.
